We moved house about 18 months ago, Most girls want a walk in wardrobe or a white Pickett fence, not me. I wanted a glam room...

From a tiny space in my bedroom is where my love for makeup started. For my first anniversary present, my husband surprised me with the cutest thing ever, he had made me a whole area to play with makeup. The Hollywood mirror, the cute little makeup quotes in a picture frame, the storage space for my ever growing stash of makeup. It was beautiful!

Too cute right?!

Fast forward 6 months and my love for makeup had spilled all through the house, there wasn't a drawer in the house that didn't have the odd mini lippy in, or a "just in case" set of strip lashes.

Ok, I had a makeup problem, a big one! I didn't have anywhere to keep it all. (That is my excuse and I'm sticking to it)

So the time comes when we are ready for moving home. By which time, my makeup "obsession" had turned into some kind of insane business. My husband in a "thinking out loud moment" said "why don't we buy somewhere that has room for your business" well of course that was it.... my Pinterest board was bursting with glam room ideas. Some were attainable....but most were 5* luxury commercial buildings, solely dedicated to makeup, in the ever aesthetically pleasing knightsbridge. A girl can dream though??

So we've moved into our new home. Im a little bit fuming that there is not an already dedicated glam room area.... I mean why?? But my husband keeps reassuring me that there will be. Several ideas were thrown around. Did we really need to keep both children? Surely the 10 year old was ready for his own venture so that I could transform his room? No? Ok, what next?

My husband decided to turn our miserable, damp garage into a happy place of loveliness. Trust me when I say this was a big job! Did he let me down? Of course he didn't! He spent hours and hours after work grafting for my dream glam room. His friends helped massively too, so sometimes it started out with good intentions, but finished on a bottle of jack Daniels. But regardless, it got done.

I could never be more grateful if I tried, my studio is my sanctuary. The place I walk in and instantly feel happy. Its where pre drinks start and magic happens. It's a happy place for everyone, from the teens who are giddily getting glam for prom, the worried brides that need a pick me up before their big day, to the beauts that want to feel good for a day/night out. You name it, my brushes have seen it.

-My beautiful studio sign. I purchased this wooden sign from https://vmbespoke.com/

-My flowers were from all over the place, I brought some from amazon and some from dunelm mill and just kind of tied them all together to create a little frame for my sign.

-This is what I like to call my store room. It holds all my extra products and lashes, my cases for travelling to do makeup, paperwork and everything in between. I like to call it ''a well organised messy vibe.'' Both these units are from https://www.ikea.com/gb/en/

-The hot seat! This also makes for a beautiful backdrop for makeup photos.

-My mirror, lights and desk from Ikea.

-I love this bench. It was from a company called furniture 123, my plant holder and plants are from.... you guessed it, Ikea!

-Can anyone spy my NEW selfie wall?

And that ladies and gentlemen is my absolute favourite place in the world! Ok so its not in Knightsbridge, but it's mine and something I am beyond grateful for.
