"There are two types of people in the world, those that love dermaplaning, and those that haven't tried it yet!"
So what is dermaplaning?
Dermaplaning is a relaxing technique used to manually exfoliate the skin.
This manual exfoliation removes the build up of dead skin cells and oils. When left on the surface of the skin, this build up causes a dull and textured canvas.
Enter... Dermaplaning!

So what are the main benefits of Dermaplaning?
A deep exfoliation that removes a build up of dead skin cells from the epidermis.
Removes vellus hair (peach fuzz)
Easier product absorption.
Instant results.
No downtime.
FAQ'S
Will I grow more facial hair?
Nope nope and nope!
Dermaplaning removes vellus hair, the structure of vellus hair is totally different from your normal hair and you can not change the structure of the follicle by dermaplaning it off. Your velds hair will grow back exactly the same colour and thickness as prior to your dermaplaning treatment.
Can acne sufferers have dermaplaning?
Yes and no, while Dermaplaning is a great start to getting rid of acne scarring and removing the build up of oils and other acne causing nasties, it is not advised that you have dermaplaning whilst your acne is active. If you have the odd area then dermaplaning may still be performed, however if you're acne is having a bad flare up then it is advised to wait until its calmed down before you have and dermaplaning treatment. This prevents any spread of bacteria which could escalate your acne.
Does it hurt?
No. Its actually a very relaxing treatment, you may experience slight tingling as its being performed but nothing painful.
Can I do this myself at home?
Please don't! Whilst you can buy cheap plastic razors and it is totally possible to shave you're own face, it is certainly no dermaplaning treatment. The aim of Dermaplaning isn't just simply shaving your face,it is the removal of dead skin cells and excess sebum build up to reveal glowing rejuvenated skin. We use a medical grade blade for a cleaner and deeper exfoliation. You will NOT get these results from DIY at home.
Your technician will be looking at you're skin type and assessing any skin concerns. Incorrect treatment can lead to complications, not to mention giving yourself a beautiful shaving rash!
Ok, so how often can I get this done?
Since our skin naturally resurfaces itself about once a month, it is a guide that monthly dermaplaning treatments work best. Dermaplaning is not permanent and
dead skin and vellus hair will come back eventually. While you can chose to have dermaplaning as and when you feel like it, for a great skin care routine once monthly is very beneficial.
